One Quarter Down...

Well, we've made it through a fourth of this 52 thing! Honestly, I cannot believe that I've made it this far. Like I said in my initial post, I am not a very disciplined person. Maybe I am getting better at it. I still have had some problems with procrastination. A few of these weeks, I pushed it to the very last minute. But hey, they all got done. I am pleased at the quality of the work thus far. I am getting more efficient every week. So far, I give myself a -B. I can pull it up, I promise. To celebrate the close of this first quarter of our journey together, I'd love it if you'd answer a couple of questions for me...

       1) Which week of 52 has been your favorite?
       2) Why?

All you have to do is leave a comment below with your answers. If you don't know how to comment, click this...

If you do comment, you will have the chance to win a goodie bag filled with sounds and clothing and other fun stuff. You will even get to make a request for a future 52 piece. Your song wish will be granted! The winner will be randomly selected at 12:06 pm on Friday, April 6, 2012. Pretty exact time, huh? That is precisely the time that my first twin baby girl, Isaiah Jane was born one year prior. I'll then announce the winner at 12:07 pm on Friday, April 6, 2012. That is the exact time that my second twin baby girl, Honor Rose was born. Then we will all celebrate; For different reasons, I'm sure. It should be a fun day! So, what do you say? Comment away!

Thanks,

Christopher

My favorite week so far was "Don't worry 'bout a thing"...I've come back to listen to it multiple times when I've had a bad day...it's a wonderful remake!

  2. I'd have to say my favorite is "You Are My Sunshine"... That was a song I'd sing to our kiddos when they were young (bless their hearts, cause I can't carry a tune in a bucket;) "I'm looking Through You" is a very close 2nd just cause I'm a sap for a good love story and you guys have an awesome one!

  3. I like 'Your Ocean' a whole lot. It's very interesting... I often wake up with the lyrics running through my head.

If I may make a request, I would love to hear your version of Coldplay's "Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall."

Keep up the good work! I love listening to your music.

    1. You should have been at my church a little while back. We did it as an opener one morning! What is your name, just in case you win?

  5. For me it would have to be Africa last week...I love the song to begin with but the words have a special meaning to me that, once I explain to you (in person) will make you see why this is MY song. As it pertains to your vocals tho, I have never and i mean NEVER heard anyone attempt to record a rendition of Joseph Williams' original....your voice is pretty much the only voice of anyone that I know that blends with itself so well to recreate the magic of the original.....I've said it before but I'm sure that I'd do just about anything to have a voice like yours....keep the project going man....dont quit and finish strong!!! we all thank you for making the world a better place through it.

  6. Week 8. Hands down. I'm sure you'll agree that once you become a parent, EVERYTHING in your life seems to revolve around and somehow relate to your child and the relationship you have with them. I never wanted to be a dad, nor did I think I would be any good at it once I was faced with the reality that it was happening whether I liked it or not. Over the years though, my daughter has transformed me and every detail of my life into something more amazing than I could have ever imagined. Her presence in my life has made me realize that until I met her, I had no idea what love actually is. I've tried to represent the uncontrollable, unconditional adoration I have towards her in words, but the end result never seems to even come close to describing the intensity of my love for her. Week eight's song "Your Ocean" nailed it. It's exactly how I feel every second I'm able to spend with her. As always, Chris, you're an incredible inspiration. I feel extremely fortunate to have known you years ago; it was a friendship that made a lasting impression.

  7. Week 12, I'm Looking Through You. Who does a Beatles cover that I want to listen to more than the original? You do. --Patti R. :o)

  8. I realize that i'm late for the contest but i'm going to blame it on my not-so-smart-phone and my spotty internet at home. I know i've already told you this on FB but Your Ocean is amazing. That would've been my vote. Please keep writing! Chris and & I love your work.

    1. No one won. Hah, kidding. Easter week got the best of me; Too much going on. I notified Patricia Reese that she won the whole kit and caboodle. I am anxious to hear her choice of song. Should be interesting.
